1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of turfwar.bid (the "Service"), operated by the turfwar.bid team ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the site or completing a payment, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service or make a payment.
2. What the Service is
turfwar.bid is a paid public advertising board on an interactive world map. Users pay to:
- Claim an unclaimed country ($2–$10 USD, based on land size)
- Invade an occupied country (base claim price + $5 USD)
In exchange, your display name, website link, optional pitch, brand color, and cover image may appear on that country on the globe, in hover cards, and on public leaderboards and invasion history.
There are no user accounts in the current version. Checkout is guest-only via Stripe.
3. Payments
All prices are shown in US dollars before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
All payments are final. See our Refund Policy — there are no refunds under any circumstances once payment succeeds.
4. No guarantee of placement or permanence
Paying for a country does not guarantee permanent ownership, traffic, clicks, revenue, or any particular business outcome. Other users may invade by paying the published invasion price. Listings, rankings, and stats may change at any time.
5. Your content
When you submit a display name, link, description, logo, or brand color, you represent that:
- You have the right to use and display that content
- Your content is lawful and does not infringe others' rights
- Your link does not lead to malware, scams, illegal material, or hate content
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute your submitted content on the Service and in related promotional materials for operating turfwar.bid.
We may remove or refuse content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably consider spam, misleading, offensive, or harmful — without refund.
6. Prohibited use
You may not:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to manipulate payments, stats, or the leaderboard by fraud or automation
- Upload content you do not have rights to use
- Interfere with the site, API, or other users' experience
- Circumvent rate limits, checkout rules, or security measures
7. Public information
Claims, invasion history, spend totals, and analytics (such as views and link clicks) are displayed publicly on the site. Do not submit information you are not willing to make public.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY PAYMENT YOU MAKE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms, pricing, or site features at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
